Wryngwyrm is the group my wife and I belong to and our first experience of Dark Age reenactment. As groups go we wouldn't swap them for the world. Apart for being really good people to hang out with and have fun with wryngwyrm are meticulous about authenticity and being period correct in EVERY detail. Wryngwyrm are Bedford based and cover Northamptonshire, notably it has been said that the best looking members are from the Northants area !!
What can I say ! Mike and Sara are the business when it comes to all things viking. What I have found with Viking Crafts is that Quality is the cornerstone of the products sold. Me being a smart arse at times thought aaahhh I can buy the same tine cheaper, I did and then it all went wonky and pear shaped and began to smell of elderberrys. Viking Crafts only deal in quality merchandice and are good value. Take it from me just get your stuff from this site, it will save you cash in the long run and it looks good too !
Furs skins blades and helm, real real fancy pants helms, oohhhh I salivating !!, good stuff from this site also, Big Chris is your man for high quality blades.
We got our tent from this company and boy are we glad we did. There are so many horror stories about shite quality canvas and bits ripping of tents only in the slightest breeze. Past Tents are strong durable and excellent quality, they can be a bit pricey-- but you pay for the quality and will probably last twice as long and shit quality canvas crappy tents available elswhere on the market. When buying a tent be afraid be very afraid of skanky know it all silver tongued skallywags, BUY from a reputable company .. nuff said.
Dai is a cool dude who's love in life is hammering the crap out of big bits of molten metal and turning them into really clever and usefull bits of kit. Dai made our firebox and 3 skillits and they are fantastic. Dai can make you almost anything in his forge- he is even pattern welding very nice knifes, spearheads and swords. Alison, Dais partner is a powerhouse of historical knowelege and can design and help build pieces. If you are after serious quality workmanship with cool individual styling Dai's forge is the place to go !!
