Welcome to the dark ages !

Life in the 'dark age', for some would have been a pretty greuling affair, apart from the relativly short life span, appaling living conditions, little or no practical medical help apart from herblore, dark age people were resourseful, clever and tough.

It is impossible to say what conditions were exactly like, but we can get an idea from historical accounts of the time, archiology. In reenacting the 'Dark Age' period, experimental archiology, help us to understatd the day to day tasks of life a relay those on to people who come to events who enjoy history and wish to learn more.

At 'Welcome to the Dark Ages' we can recomend groups who have the required training and qualifications ( inclusive of insurance and CRB checks ) to visit schools.

Above, part of our group at Corfe Castle June 08. The best part of reenacting and Living History is when the public go home and we can crack a beer open and enjoy the surroundings and sleep and stay in some of the most beautifull historical sites in the U.K.

I love it I do, and so dose my wife !!
